Rahul Gandhis Despair Over Congresss Failure to Gain Power, Claims Karnataka BJP Chief
Karnataka BJP Chief B.Y. Vijayendra criticizes Rahul Gandhis alliances and Congresss handling of the KPSC recruitment scandal.

Bengaluru, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra expressed concerns on Friday regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s associations with individuals he previously labeled as anti-national. He suggested that Gandhi’s frustration stems from the Congress party’s inability to secure power.
Speaking to the media during the BJP’s ‘Vocal for Local’ event in Pottery Town, Bengaluru, Vijayendra accused the Congress government of attempting to undermine the investigation into irregularities in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) recruitment process. He called for the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to continue its work, as directed by the High Court.
Accompanying Vijayendra were Bengaluru North District BJP President S. Harish and other party leaders. In response to questions about the removal of Alok Kumar, the officer investigating the KPSC scandal, Vijayendra alleged that the Congress government was interfering in the inquiry.
He recalled that former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had dismantled the Lokayukta and established the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Vijayendra claimed that the current government has appointed favored officials to key positions, facilitating a “clean chit” for themselves.
“Once again, the same attempts are underway. The High Court formed an SIT with honest officials. What is the Congress government and Priyank Kharge afraid of?” he questioned.
Vijayendra further accused the state government of approaching the Supreme Court to remove Alok Kumar and other officers from the investigation team, despite previously labeling them as honest. He argued that the controversy surrounding their removal has intensified discussions about Priyank Kharge’s involvement in the KPSC scandal, suggesting that the Congress government is only strengthening these suspicions.
“If Priyank Kharge is indeed honest and the government is committed to investigating the KPSC scandal, it should allow the High Court-appointed officials to conduct their inquiry,” he stated, also alleging attempts to conceal the scandal.
The BJP leader asserted that the public is aware of the individuals behind the sting operation in Karnataka. He claimed that Congress ministers are fearful that members within their own party could expose wrongdoing.
Vijayendra pointed out that Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has remained silent on this controversy and demanded a thorough investigation to uncover the facts. He insisted on a CBI inquiry to ensure transparency, expressing concerns that the ruling party wishes to keep these matters secret.
When questioned about the comparison between Congress and an organization referred to as the “Cockroach Party,” Vijayendra affirmed that there is no doubt both are similar.
He accused Rahul Gandhi of feeling despondent due to the Congress’s failure to gain power and the popularity of Prime Minister Modi. Vijayendra claimed that realizing his ambition to become Prime Minister is unattainable, Gandhi has allied with other groups to participate in protests.
He also criticized Gandhi for expressing distrust in electronic voting machines (EVMs), the Election Commission, and the Supreme Court, alleging that Congress and leftist groups are conspiring to create unrest in the country.
“Chaos cannot be allowed in our nation. The public has rejected Congress. The party should introspect and understand why it has become disconnected from the people,” he said.
Vijayendra asserted that the public supports the NDA and Modi’s leadership, closely monitoring the opposition’s actions. He praised Prime Minister Modi’s 25 years in public life, noting his impeccable record. During the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, he visited Pottery Town to understand the challenges faced by potters and promote local products.
