Clyde Crasto Responds to Kharges Remarks, Urges BJP to Reflect on Their Past Statements

NCP spokesperson Clyde Crasto challenges BJPs demand for an apology from Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, calling for self-reflection.

Mumbai, October 26 (Daily Kiran) : Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) spokesperson Clyde Crasto has responded to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent remarks regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His comments came in the context of various political developments, including a court ruling favoring Rahul Gandhi and statements made by Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane.

Crasto criticized the BJP’s call for Kharge to apologize, stating that there should be limits to political discourse. He emphasized the importance of maintaining decorum, regardless of political opposition, and suggested that the BJP should reflect on its own past statements before demanding apologies from others.

Regarding Kharge’s comments about Prime Minister Modi, Crasto stressed the need for respectful language when discussing individuals. He pointed out that while political disagreements are common, they should not descend into personal attacks. He questioned the BJP’s stance, reminding them of their own inappropriate remarks against various leaders, including Rahul and Sonia Gandhi.

On the recent relief granted to Rahul Gandhi by a Sultanpur court, Crasto expressed confidence in the judiciary. He stated that the judicial system is paramount and capable of distinguishing right from wrong, ensuring justice for all citizens. He noted that despite the BJP’s attempts to create misleading narratives, the judiciary remains the ultimate authority.

Crasto also addressed statements made by Minister Nitesh Rane, advising that they should not be taken seriously. He accused Rane of making provocative comments to garner media attention and stressed the importance of respecting citizens’ constitutional rights. He warned against targeting specific communities for political gain, asserting that the public is becoming increasingly aware of such tactics.

Additionally, Crasto questioned Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s claims regarding safety in the state and Mumbai. He highlighted recent incidents involving armed individuals in public spaces and attacks on celebrities, suggesting these events contradict the government’s assertions of safety. Crasto pointed out that if Maharashtra and Mumbai are indeed secure, such occurrences should not be happening.

Through his remarks, Crasto called for a more thoughtful and respectful political dialogue, urging all parties to consider their actions and words carefully.
