Punjab Women Craft 1,100 Special Rakhi for Armed Forces

Fazilka, August 24: The local women’s welfare committee has expressed its gratitude and respect for the armed forces protecting the nation’s borders. On Sunday, they dedicated 1,100 special Rakhis to the military. This event took place at the Asafwala War Memorial, located a few kilometers from Fazilka, under the banner “Rakhi Sarhad Ke Naam—National Defense Honor, Sisters’ Pride.”

The atmosphere of the event was filled with patriotism, gratitude, and respect for the military. Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attended as the chief guest. He praised the Rakhis crafted by the women of the committee, emphasizing that society’s respect and gratitude for the soldiers defending the country should always remain strong.

Lieutenant General Shamser Singh Virk and several senior army officials were also present. The event honored the courage and dedication of soldiers stationed at the borders under challenging conditions. Their commitment allows civilians to stay safe with their families while they serve the nation far from their loved ones.
