Protests Erupt in Greater Noida Over Staff Demands at JIMS Hospital

Greater Noida, June 25: The Samajwadi Party staged a protest in Greater Noida on Thursday against the alleged mistreatment of staff at JIMS Hospital and the administration’s neglect of their demands. Party workers gathered at the main road in front of the Surajpur Collectorate, raising slogans against the authorities. Reports indicate that traffic was disrupted for a short period, but police quickly managed to restore order.

Samajwadi Party leaders and activists accused the police of misconduct, pushing, and brutality towards employees who had been peacefully protesting their demands at JIMS Hospital. The staff claimed they had been advocating for their rights for an extended period, yet instead of addressing their issues, they faced forceful actions.

In solidarity with the employees, the Samajwadi Party took to the streets to demand the fulfillment of the staff’s requests and a fair investigation into the matter. A significant number of party workers arrived at the Surajpur Collectorate, insisting that the administration address the employees’ grievances.

The protesters accused the administration of ignoring the staff’s issues and warned that if a resolution was not reached soon, they would escalate their movement. During the demonstration, traffic on the Surajpur-Pari Chowk road was temporarily affected.

Police arrived at the scene to negotiate with the demonstrators and took necessary measures to normalize the situation. Authorities monitored the area closely, and a police statement confirmed that some Samajwadi Party members submitted a memorandum to administrative officials at the Collectorate. After delivering the memorandum, all activists departed peacefully to their respective destinations.

According to the police, law and order in the area remains stable, and traffic is operating smoothly. The incident in the Surajpur police jurisdiction has intensified the political atmosphere. While the Samajwadi Party is vocally supporting the hospital staff, the administration claims that the employees’ issues and demands are being considered in accordance with regulations.
