Promotion of Xi Jinping: Governance of China Volume Five Held in Astana

Astana, July 15: A promotional event for the fifth volume of the book “Xi Jinping: Governance of China” was held in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana.

Attendees at the event agreed that this volume presents Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in a well-organized manner. Furthermore, the book serves as a reliable medium for the international community to deeply understand Chinese-style modernization and contemporary China.

Guests emphasized that China and Kazakhstan are partners on the path of modernization. The sharing of governance experiences based on President Xi Jinping’s significant works is essential for promoting the construction of a China-Kazakhstan community with a shared future.

On this occasion, Alanur Besenbayev, Director of the Internal Affairs Department of the Kazakhstan Presidential Administration, stated that the publication of this fifth volume marks a new milestone in cultural exchange and mutual learning between the two countries. Kazakhstan is currently undergoing several economic and social reforms and is accelerating modernization according to its national circumstances. He noted that there are many similarities in the modernization processes of both countries, and the governance philosophy and development strategies presented in President Xi Jinping’s book are invaluable for Kazakhstan.

Gulnar Shaimergenova, Director of the Kazakhstan Center for Chinese Studies, remarked that amid rapid global changes, China remains a crucial engine of global economic growth and a major force in maintaining international stability.

She mentioned that President Xi Jinping’s works have been translated into dozens of languages and have received widespread acclaim worldwide. His thoughts and concepts have significantly contributed to building global consensus and addressing developmental challenges.

During the event, the Chinese side presented Kazakh guests with copies of the fourth volume of “Xi Jinping: Governance of China” in Kazakh and the fifth volume in Russian. Additionally, representatives from think tanks, companies, and universities from both China and Kazakhstan shared inspiring stories about the benefits of practical cooperation for local communities. Experts present at the meeting also discussed key topics such as working together on the China-Kazakhstan community with a shared future and the Belt and Road Initiative.

This event was organized collaboratively by the Press Office of the State Council of China, the Administration of Foreign Language Publications of China, and the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan. Over 200 guests participated, including representatives from publishing, media, think tanks, universities, and business companies.
