India-Saudi Cooperation Discussed in Riyadh, Key Meetings Held by Minister of State for External Affairs

Riyadh, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, engaged in crucial discussions in Riyadh on September 6, 2026. He met with Adil Al-Jubeir, the Saudi Arabian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Affairs, to review the strong bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia.

Singh took to the social media platform X to share insights from his meeting, stating, “Had a warm and meaningful discussion with Adil Al-Jubeir. We reviewed the excellent bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia and explored avenues for cooperation on climate action.”

Earlier that day, Singh also met with Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Development. They discussed collaboration in labor and workforce sectors.

Expressing his satisfaction on X, Singh noted, “It was a pleasure to meet with Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi. We had extensive discussions on strengthening India-Saudi cooperation in the labor and workforce sectors, reflecting the depth and growing momentum of our strategic partnership. I am grateful for the invitation and warm hospitality.”

Singh arrived in Saudi Arabia on Saturday for his first official visit, where he was welcomed by Tariq Al-Hamad, Deputy Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

On social media, Singh mentioned, “I have arrived in Riyadh for a bilateral visit. I received a warm welcome from India’s Ambassador Vipul and Tariq Al-Hamad. I look forward to meaningful meetings with my Saudi counterparts and engaging with the Indian community and business leaders here.”

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Singh’s visit, which will last until September 8, includes meetings with senior officials, including the Deputy Minister for Environment, Water, and Agriculture. He will also engage with various segments of the Indian community in Saudi Arabia, including businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and professionals.

The Ministry’s statement emphasized, “He will meet with Indian workers, showcasing the unwavering commitment of the Government of India to the welfare of Indian workers abroad.”
