New Delhi, April 15: Priyanka Kakkar, the national spokesperson of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has made serious allegations regarding the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid at the residence of Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Ashok Mittal. She claims that Raghav Chadha, another MP from her party, played a role in orchestrating this action.
During a press conference held at the party headquarters in Delhi, Kakkar stated that Chadha had met with top BJP leadership to demand ED action against Mittal. She alleged that Chadha was upset after being removed from his position as the deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, which prompted him to take this step.
Kakkar also pointed out that on the same day the ED raided Mittal’s home, Raghav Chadha was granted Z-plus security. She described this sequence of events as unfortunate, noting that Arvind Kejriwal had elevated a worker from a humble background to the Parliament, only for that individual to betray the party. She advised Chadha to refrain from such actions.
Targeting the BJP, Kakkar accused the central government of misusing agencies like the ED to target opposition leaders. She alleged that there is a strategy to intimidate the opposition, imprison them, and harass their families. However, she made it clear that the AAP will not be intimidated by these actions.
Kakkar emphasized that AAP’s primary goal is to provide quality and free education to every child in the country, asserting that no power can deter them from this mission. She claimed that the BJP makes every effort to avoid action against its own leaders, while consistently targeting leaders from opposition parties.
