Vijayawada, April 19: BJP National Executive member Boddhu Nag Lakshmi has targeted Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi during a recent press conference. She stated that while the BJP has prioritized women’s welfare, Priyanka Gandhi, despite being a woman, has not stood up for women’s issues.
Lakshmi mocked Congress, asserting that no matter how much they criticize the BJP, it will have no effect. With elections taking place everywhere, women will reject Congress’s statements regarding reservations. She emphasized that Congress is facing a bleak future, claiming that the party will not form a government again. She accused Congress of obstructing the legislation passed in 2023 and suggested that it would have been better if they had supported it.
She further stated that for Congress to survive, it must back the amendment bill. Lakshmi criticized Rahul Gandhi, claiming his statements may seem correct to him but are entirely wrong from a women’s perspective. She warned that if Congress does not improve, it will face zero support across the country.
BJP supporter Hina Billani expressed her disappointment over the failure to pass the amendment bill. She believes that women should advance and that the Modi government must be strengthened to support this cause. She urged all women to back Narendra Modi.
Kusumaben Tekwani remarked that Prime Minister Modi aimed to pass an amendment bill granting 33% reservation for women, but the opposition protested in Parliament. She asserted that while PM Modi wants to empower women, the opposition seems intent on hindering their progress. She encouraged voters to recognize which party is genuinely working for women’s advancement and to support PM Modi.
