New Delhi, August 13: As India gears up for Independence Day, the BJP is promoting its ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign nationwide. Congress leader and Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge has taken aim at this initiative. He posted on the social media platform X, suggesting that the BJP should launch its campaign from the RSS headquarters.
Kharge pointed out that for over five decades after independence, the RSS did not hoist the national flag at its Nagpur headquarters. The tricolor was officially raised there only in 2002. He questioned the BJP’s commitment to patriotism, asking why the RSS chose the saffron flag over the national flag for so long.
He further posed a direct question: “How many RSS route marches have you seen where volunteers proudly march with the Indian tricolor? Not a single one. Yet, these individuals hand out ‘patriotism’ certificates to everyone.”
In response, the Delhi BJP posted on X, urging citizens to transform Independence Day into a celebration of patriotism. They encouraged people to hoist the tricolor at their homes, establishments, and workplaces, spreading a message of respect, pride, and unity. They invited citizens to take photos or selfies with the flag and share them on social media with the hashtag ‘Har Ghar Tiranga.’
Additionally, the BJP shared another post showcasing the beauty of Kashmir, stating, “Dal Lake, shikaras, and the tricolor waving proudly! This is the new identity of Kashmir, where tranquility and development thrive, and every heart beats with pride for the nation. This is not just a scene; it embodies the energy of the new Kashmir!”
