New Delhi, March 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the youth during the 132nd episode of “Mann Ki Baat” on Sunday. He emphasized the importance of young people as the nation’s strength and urged them to contribute to the country’s development.
Modi stated, “India is the youngest country in the world. When the youth harness their strength for nation-building, it provides significant support. The initiative ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’, or ‘My India Organization’, plays a vital role in this responsibility. This organization connects the youth of the country through various positive activities.”
He mentioned the recent “My India Quest” event aimed at involving young people in the budget process and policy-making. Approximately 1.2 million youths participated in the related quiz.
Following the quiz, around 160,000 participants were selected for an essay competition. The Prime Minister had the opportunity to read some of these essays, which showcased the eagerness of young individuals to contribute to the nation’s progress.
He highlighted contributions from various participants, including Kotla Raghveer Reddy from Suryapet, Telangana, who wrote on farmer welfare; Saurabh Baiswar from Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh; and Sumit Kumar from Gopalganj, Bihar. Aanchal from Mohali, Punjab, and Om Prakash Rath from Kendrapara, Odisha, shared their thoughts on enhancing women-led development. Pratham Barar from Yamunanagar, Haryana, emphasized that a green and clean India is the path to a prosperous nation. Shank Gupta from Delhi suggested that more efforts should be made to identify sports talents in rural areas.
The Prime Minister concluded by stressing the importance of advancing the ideas shared by the youth.
