Ayodhya, March 19: A spiritual and historical confluence was witnessed in Ayodhya on the first day of Vasant Navratri and the Hindi New Year, as President Droupadi Murmu participated in a special ritual for the installation of the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ at the Ram Temple. The entire city was adorned with devotion, security, and tradition during this significant event.
President Murmu arrived in Ayodhya on Thursday via a special military aircraft at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport. From there, she traveled to the Ram Temple under tight security measures. The city welcomed her with traditional ceremonies, attended by Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.
Entering Ayodhya through the ‘Jagatguru Adi Shankaracharya Gate,’ the President observed the temple complex. She then performed rituals at the Durga Mata Temple located within the premises. During her visit, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust implemented special changes in security and visitation arrangements. According to the Trust, all VIP, easy access, and special darshan passes were completely canceled from 7 AM to 9 PM on March 19.
All online passes issued for this date were also rendered invalid, allowing devotees to visit only under general arrangements. Trust Secretary Champat Rai stated that President Murmu participated in the ritual for the installation of the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ in the temple’s sanctum on the second floor. He emphasized that this Yantra symbolizes the divine power, dignity, and righteousness of Lord Shri Ram, which will enhance the temple’s spiritual energy.
It is believed that the installation of the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ significantly amplifies the sanctity and impact of the temple. This will further disseminate the message of religion, peace, and dignity from Ayodhya. On this special occasion, spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi from Kerala also arrived in Ayodhya with nearly a thousand devotees. Approximately 2,000 individuals associated with the Ram Temple construction and activists linked to the Ram Temple movement since 1984 were also present at the event.
