Lucknow, August 26: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken note of the ongoing heavy rainfall and its consequences in Uttar Pradesh. He has instructed senior officials to assess the affected areas and provide necessary assistance to families in need.
The Chief Minister emphasized that residents in flood-affected regions should not face any difficulties. He has ordered an immediate evaluation of the loss of life, livestock, and economic damage caused by the heavy rains and lightning strikes. Officials have been directed to assess the damage and ensure that compensation is provided to affected families within 24 hours, as per regulations. Continuous communication with these families and ensuring relief assistance is also a priority.
Yogi Adityanath has urged officials to prioritize the safety of people in flood-prone areas due to the rains. The administration has been instructed to monitor local conditions closely and carry out relief operations as necessary. The Chief Minister has also appealed to the residents to exercise caution.
He advised against unnecessary outings during lightning storms and warned against bathing in rivers and water bodies during heavy rainfall. Residents are encouraged to follow safety instructions issued by the administration.
In light of severe flooding in the Bhote Koshi River in Nepal’s Rasuwa region, vigilance has been heightened in the bordering districts of Maharajganj and Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Adityanath expressed deep concern over the damage caused by the floods in Nepal and has instructed local administration in Maharajganj and Kushinagar to ensure all necessary preparations are in place. There is a risk of rising water levels in the Gandak and Narayani rivers due to the flooding in Nepal.
The Chief Minister has urged local authorities to remain vigilant regarding river water levels. He expressed his concern over the devastating impact of the floods in Nepal and prayed for everyone’s safety.
