Ratnagiri, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Preparations are in full swing across the country as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday approaches on September 17. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to launch a “Service Fortnight” from September 17 to October 2, along with a month-long initiative titled “Service, Resolution, and Good Governance” running from September 17 to October 17. Special arrangements are being made in BJP-ruled states, including Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
In Khed, Ratnagiri, Minister Yogesh Kadam praised Modi as a source of inspiration for young leaders. He remarked, “For young leaders like us, PM Narendra Modi is a role model. He has never taken a day off in his years of service. With such senior leaders guiding us, what greater achievement could we ask for? On his birthday, I extend my heartfelt wishes and pray for his prosperous and healthy life.”
In Uttar Pradesh, Minister Dayashankar Singh outlined the “Service Resolution” campaign in Lucknow. He stated, “In honor of PM Modi’s birthday, we are organizing a month-long program from September 17 to October 17, divided into approximately 13 different activities.”
Singh noted that the campaign will kick off in Varanasi, featuring a 250-bike rally that will travel from Varanasi to Vadnagar, where young participants will engage in various activities. Additionally, a large conference in Lucknow will gather over 400,000 elected representatives, including village heads, legislators, MPs, mayors, and district council members. The campaign will also include lighting lamps, distributing fruits in hospitals, and organizing blood donation camps.
Singh emphasized the government’s focus on youth employment and good governance, stating that this service campaign will demonstrate the BJP’s commitment to the public in response to opposition politics.
Every year, the BJP celebrates PM Modi’s birthday with a service fortnight, but this year, the festivities are planned on a larger scale.
