Chandigarh, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : In Chandigarh, Haryana Minister Ranbir Gangwa has voiced serious concerns regarding the escalating drug trade in Punjab. During a recent visit to the state, he noted that residents expressed their worries about the growing drug problem.
Gangwa stated that the situation is alarming. He recalled how the people of Punjab had high hopes when the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came to power, believing it would bring about positive changes. However, he claims that drug trafficking has surged since the party assumed office, leaving the public in distress. He emphasized that the government must be held accountable for this situation.
On the topic of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Gangwa criticized the opposition for misleading the public. He advocated for a single law for the nation, asserting that all citizens should enjoy equal rights. He questioned why there should be any issues with having uniform laws across the country.
Additionally, he highlighted upcoming events commemorating Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, noting that he has completed 25 years in public service. Gangwa praised Modi’s commitment to serving the nation, emphasizing the importance of transparency in governance. He recalled Modi’s tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat and his subsequent role as Prime Minister.
Gangwa pointed out that when Modi took office, the country faced numerous challenges, including tackling Naxalism and terrorism. He reiterated Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047. To support this, the organization plans to conduct various service programs from September 17 to October 17, informing citizens about welfare schemes from both the central and state governments.
