Nainital, June 19: Preparations are in full swing for the foundation day of the world-renowned Naina Devi Temple. The temple administration and trust are making elaborate arrangements for the celebrations scheduled for June 23. The temple complex is being beautifully decorated, creating a vibrant religious atmosphere throughout the area.
Rajiv Lochan Sah, president of the Naina Devi Amar Uday Trust, spoke to a news agency about the temple’s significance as an ancient and revered site. He is a journalist and social worker, overseeing the temple’s religious and social activities through the trust. The nearby Naini Lake is also associated with the glory of Naina Devi, contributing to its name.
To commemorate the foundation day, a nine-day Shri Mad Devi Bhagwat Katha is being held from June 15 to June 23. The sessions take place daily from 3 PM to 6 PM, attracting a large number of devotees seeking spiritual benefits. The trust anticipates that thousands will visit the temple on the foundation day.
To ensure the comfort and safety of the devotees, the temple trust has implemented special arrangements. For the first time, the exit gate of the temple will be opened for the influx of visitors, facilitating crowd control and a smoother darshan experience. Additionally, a shoe and sandal storage facility has been established outside the temple to maintain cleanliness. The trust has appealed to all devotees to cooperate and maintain discipline.
Rajiv Lochan Sah announced that the celebrations will commence with a special worship of Naina Devi during the Brahma Muhurat on June 23. The main rituals will begin at 7 AM, followed by deity worship and Havan from 11 AM to 12 PM. From 12 PM to 1 PM, there will be ceremonies for Vyas Puja, book worship, and Kanya Puja. A grand community feast will also be organized for the devotees.
A magnificent Bhajan Sandhya is scheduled from 5 PM to 7 PM, with a significant turnout expected. The temple trust assures that all necessary preparations are being made to make the foundation day grand, organized, and spiritually memorable.
