Delhis Lt. Governor Praises Police for BRICS Summit Security Efforts

New Delhi, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu met with Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar on Monday to commend the efforts of law enforcement agencies in ensuring the smooth operation of the three-day BRICS Summit.

In a message from Raj Niwas, Sandhu praised Kumar and the entire Delhi Police team for their professionalism and dedication in maintaining seamless security and coordination during the 18th BRICS Summit. Their commitment ensured that Delhi hosted this global event safely and with pride.

Ahead of the summit, Sandhu launched the upgraded website of the Delhi Traffic Police. This platform provides citizens with easier, more interactive access to traffic-related information and services online.

An official statement noted that the website, dedicated to the public since September 10, reflects the Delhi Traffic Police’s ongoing efforts to use technology not just for information dissemination but also to simplify daily interactions between citizens and traffic services.

During the launch, Sandhu emphasized that this platform should serve not only as an administrative tool but also as an interactive center for road safety awareness, civic education, and active citizen participation.

He highlighted the importance of utilizing technology to make public services more accessible, efficient, and responsive to citizens’ needs.

Designed with the everyday needs of commuters in mind, the new website is user-friendly and easily accessible via mobile devices. It allows citizens to access information and services conveniently through smartphones, tablets, and other devices.

The website enables users to view traffic fines issued against their vehicles by simply entering their vehicle registration number. It also offers the option to pay fines through QR codes.
