Patna, August 14: Following his victory in the Bankipur assembly by-election, Prashant Kishor has intensified his criticism of the Bihar government and Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. In a recent press conference, Kishor reiterated his stance on the state’s leadership, asserting that as long as it remains under individuals with criminal tendencies, the government’s character will inherently reflect crime. He stated that envisioning a crime-free society under such leadership is unrealistic.
Kishor emphasized that job opportunities in Bihar are unlikely to improve and that migration will persist. He pointed out that voters did not cast their ballots for change but rather based on caste, religion, and party affiliations like BJP, JDU, and RJD. Consequently, he warned that the people will have to endure violence, crime, and looting for the next four years.
Addressing the issue of substance abuse, Kishor remarked that the prohibition of alcohol has led to an increase in the use of dry drugs. He recalled his warning two years ago, comparing the situation to “Udta Punjab” with his own term “Udta Bihar.” He criticized the ineffective alcohol ban, attributing the rise in dry drug consumption to corrupt officials, which he believes will have severe repercussions for society.
Kishor also targeted Union Minister Giriraj Singh, advising him to refrain from making nonsensical statements. He cautioned that, like other politicians, Singh’s past could be scrutinized if he continues to make such remarks, which he believes are merely attempts to garner votes. He noted that the public is aware of this type of dirty politics.
He pointed out that while Singh often makes controversial statements, the public tends to overlook them. However, he warned that if Singh continues to speak out, his motivations for such statements may be revealed. Kishor criticized Singh’s silence on serious issues, such as the recent assault on a girl and the mistreatment of a NEET candidate, suggesting that Singh’s comments are aimed at appeasing the Kushwaha voters in Begusarai.
Kishor announced that he will take the oath of office for the legislative position on August 17, emphasizing that this is a legal obligation that must be fulfilled.
