
New Delhi, March 10: A police encounter occurred in the Shahbad Dairy area of Outer North Delhi, resulting in the arrest of two suspects.
Police officials reported receiving a tip-off about the suspects’ arrival in the Shahbad Dairy locality. Acting on this information, the police set up a trap and began searching for the individuals. When the police team signaled the suspects to stop, they opened fire on the officers, creating chaos in the area.
In response, the police returned fire and managed to encircle the suspects. After a brief exchange of gunfire, the police apprehended both individuals at the scene. Weapons were also recovered from the suspects. The arrested individuals have been identified as Irfan and Aishwarya Pandey. According to police, both suspects were involved in the murder of a businessman about a month ago and had been on the run since then.
This operation was carried out under the direction of DCP H. V. Swami of Outer North District. He stated that the suspects had been evading capture for an extended period, and efforts to apprehend them had been ongoing. The police successfully detained them based on accurate intelligence.
Currently, the police are interrogating the suspects to determine if others were involved in the crime. Authorities indicated that additional arrests may follow soon. Security measures in the area have also been heightened.
Police officials have formed a team to apprehend the suspects’ associates, conducting investigations based on their statements to identify and arrest other individuals involved.
