Mumbai, March 10: The investigation into the plane crash involving former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is ongoing. Meanwhile, the family of flight attendant Pinky Mali, who tragically lost her life in the incident, has leveled serious allegations against the owner of the aircraft company.
Pinky Mali’s brother, Karan Mali, stated in an interview, “On February 28, I received a call from VK Singh, the owner of VSR Company. He spoke to me in a raised voice, asking what my father was saying in the media. I offered to give him my father’s number for direct communication, but he refused and insisted that I explain everything to my father. They are trying to pressure us.”
Pinky Mali’s father, Shivkumar Mali, expressed his concerns, saying, “We have been told to stay away from the media. My son has received such messages on his phone. We feel they might be trying to intimidate us, or perhaps they are just speaking normally; it’s hard to understand over the phone. But they are clearly stating that we should not make any statements to the media and stay away from it. Who can we share our pain with? Someone should help us, but that is not happening.”
Shivkumar Mali further stated that neither the government nor VSR Company has offered any assistance. He mentioned that payments, including his daughter’s insurance, have yet to be received from the company. The loss of his daughter has left his wife devastated, and she is currently hospitalized due to her deteriorating health.
It is noteworthy that on January 28, 2026, Ajit Pawar was traveling to his hometown, Baramati, on a chartered plane when it crashed near Baramati, resulting in the deaths of five individuals, including Pawar. The aircraft was a ‘Learjet-45 XR’ operated by VSR Company. MLA Rohit Pawar has raised concerns about several technical flaws and suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident, rejecting the notion that it was merely an accident and demanding a thorough investigation.
