PM Modi Welcomes Launch of 9 New Amrit Bharat Express Trains

New Delhi: The Indian Railways is set to introduce nine new Amrit Bharat Express trains, enhancing connectivity and passenger convenience across the country. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared details about these new train routes, which have received appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted that these new Amrit Bharat Express trains represent a significant step towards improving passenger experience and strengthening rail connectivity nationwide. Responding to the Railway Minister’s announcement on the social media platform ‘X’, the Prime Minister emphasized that the trains will not only benefit travellers but also boost trade and tourism in India.

Rail Minister Details Routes Linking Multiple States

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw revealed that the nine new Amrit Bharat Express trains will connect Assam with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, while other routes will link West Bengal to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, New Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. These additions will reinforce rail connectivity between the eastern, northern, southern, and western regions of India.

Key Routes of the New Amrit Bharat Express Trains

The new Amrit Bharat Express trains will operate on nine important routes including Guwahati (Kamakhya) to Rohtak, Dibrugarh to Lucknow (Gomti Nagar), New Jalpaiguri to Nagercoil, New Jalpaiguri to Tiruchirappalli, and Alipurduar to SMVT Bengaluru. Additional routes include Alipurduar to Mumbai (Panvel), Kolkata (Santiragachi) to Tambaram, Kolkata (Howrah) to Anand Vihar Terminal, and Kolkata (Sealdah) to Banaras.

The launch of these trains is expected to significantly improve passenger connectivity, promote regional trade, and encourage tourism across various parts of the country.
