China and Russia Discuss UN and Security Council Issues

Beijing, April 9: On April 8, Chinese Foreign Minister’s Assistant, Chai Wei, held consultations in the capital, Beijing, with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister regarding issues related to the United Nations and the Security Council.

During this meeting, both parties engaged in an in-depth discussion about the current international situation, the functions of the UN and the Security Council, and various international and regional matters.

They reached a consensus on the importance of defending multilateralism and maintaining an international order centered around the UN and based on international law. This cooperation aims to facilitate political solutions to key issues.
