PM Modi to Lay Foundation Stone for Jaipur Metro Phase-II on July 4

Jaipur, June 24: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced on Wednesday that the state government is committed to ensuring easy access to basic amenities across Rajasthan and expanding urban infrastructure. Special attention will be given to modernizing Jaipur’s transportation and sanitation systems to meet future needs.

The Chief Minister also revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for Jaipur Metro Phase-II on July 4. He noted that work orders for the Prahaladpura-Pinjrapole Gaushala corridor have already been issued, involving an investment of over ₹13,000 crore.

Sharma emphasized that the metro expansion will play a crucial role in reducing traffic congestion, decreasing travel time, and accelerating urban development in Jaipur.

During a grand inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony held at the Sanganeer Stadium, CM Sharma dedicated and initiated approximately 1,538 development projects worth around ₹631 crore to the public. He stated that these projects will strengthen and upgrade essential infrastructure such as roads, water supply, and electricity services, ultimately improving the quality of life for citizens.

Sharma remarked, “The state government is working with full commitment for the welfare and development of all eight crore people of Rajasthan. Our priority is to ensure that the benefits of development reach every citizen.”

He highlighted that over the past 12 years, PM Modi has transformed Indian cities into engines of development through initiatives like the Smart Cities Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), PM Swanidhi, Amrut, and Swachh Bharat Mission, leading to significant improvements in urban infrastructure and public services.

Mentioning key projects launched in Jaipur, the Chief Minister noted the construction of a flyover at Muhana Mod on the Jaipur-Bhilwara road, a sewage treatment plant in Bambala costing over ₹88 crore, a satellite hospital in Prithviraj Nagar, a trauma center in Bhankrota, and the restoration and beautification of 115 temples in Sanganeer.

He further stated that several important projects, including Unity Mall, Riddhi-Siddhi flyover, Sanganeer Elevated Road, and the Dravyawati River Development Project, are progressing rapidly.

Sharma reiterated the government’s commitment to the principle of “development as well as heritage,” ensuring modern infrastructure while preserving Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage. He announced the deployment of five state-of-the-art mechanical waste collection machines for the first time in Rajasthan, aimed at improving urban cleanliness.

These machines will assist in collecting waste from difficult areas such as footpaths, narrow lanes, and under transformers, significantly enhancing the urban sanitation system.

While distributing ownership cards to beneficiaries, the Chief Minister explained that the ‘Swamitva Yojana’ is transforming lives by providing legal ownership of residential properties through drone-based mapping.

He reported that after drone surveys in over 8,000 villages in Rajasthan, approximately 1.4 million ownership cards have been distributed.

During the event, the Chief Minister flagged off the ‘Super Sucker’ machine for sewer cleaning and awareness vehicles for ‘Swachh Survekshan 2026.’ He also presented award checks to the winners of the ‘Swachh Seva Marathon.’

The event was attended by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, Urban Development and Local Self-Government Minister (Independent Charge) Jhabar Singh Khara, MP Manju Sharma, public representatives, senior officials, and a large number of citizens.
