PM Modi Shares Insights from His Visit to Israel, Emphasizes Strengthening Partnership

New Delhi, February 27: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned from his two-day visit to Israel. Upon his return, he shared his experiences from the trip and highlighted key moments in a video.

The video showcases a warm welcome at the airport, meetings with the Indian community in Israel, traditional Indian dance performances upon his arrival, and his reception in the Israeli parliament, filled with applause and cheers. It also features PM Modi’s address in the Knesset, the receipt of Israel’s highest honor, and moments from the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the two nations.

In sharing the video, PM Modi wrote, “Some highlights from my special visit to Israel, which included fruitful discussions and strong cooperation. Our partnership will continue to grow in the future!”

Notably, both countries reached agreements on several critical issues, including defense, security, trade, technology, and agriculture. They also agreed to enhance regional connectivity through initiatives like the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC) and the India-Israel-UAE-USA (I2U2) framework.

During PM Modi’s visit, various MoUs were signed, including one for collaboration in geophysical exploration, which aims to enhance mineral exploration between India and Israel using advanced geophysical and AI technologies. This partnership promotes data sharing, investment, and sustainable resource development.

An MoU was also signed for the development of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) in Lothal, Gujarat, aimed at promoting shared maritime heritage through exhibitions, research, publications, and expertise exchange, supporting national maritime heritage and broad public participation.

Additionally, an agreement was made between NPCI International (NIPL) and MASAV, Israel, to implement the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) to facilitate cross-border remittances between India and Israel.

The establishment of the India-Israel Innovation Center for Agriculture (IINCA) was agreed upon between ICAR and MASAV, with intentions to collaborate in horizon scanning and MoUs in fisheries and aquatic agriculture.

Further MoUs were signed between the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) and the Israeli Securities Authority (ISA), focusing on collaboration in AI and its application in education. Agreements were also made between the Israeli Institute of Commercial Arbitration (IICA) and the Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA), along with the presentation of the fourth India-Israel CEO Forum report and an MoU between Nalanda University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI).
