Patna, August 1: Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, the national spokesperson for JDU, responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message to Generation Z. He emphasized that the Prime Minister has consistently faced challenges with patience and a positive mindset, which he considers his greatest strength.
Prasad noted that Modi’s character was not built in a day. Throughout his public life, he has faced criticism, humiliation, and political attacks, yet he has never lost his composure. Recently, some children made remarks that were not befitting of the Prime Minister’s dignity. However, as a guardian of the nation, Modi chose not to escalate the issue and forgave the children. This, he stated, is the hallmark of a great leader.
On the reduction in commercial LPG cylinder prices, he explained that the crisis in West Asia had led to a rapid increase in petroleum product prices worldwide. Nevertheless, the Indian government has made every effort to lessen the burden on the common people. He mentioned that while commercial gas cylinders had previously become expensive, the recent decision to reduce prices by nearly 200 rupees provides significant relief for businesses and small traders.
However, he also acknowledged that tensions between the U.S. and Iran have not completely dissipated, although global conditions are gradually returning to normal.
Rajiv Ranjan condemned the recent terrorist attack in Kulgam, stating that the Indian Army, Central Security Forces, and Jammu and Kashmir Police have been relentlessly targeting the roots of terrorism. He asserted that terrorism has weakened but occasionally attempts to assert its presence.
With Independence Day approaching, he stressed the need for security agencies to remain fully alert. He also urged citizens to adhere to all security guidelines and protocols to prevent any untoward incidents.
Regarding the proposed FCRA amendment bill, the JDU spokesperson remarked that changes in laws over time are a normal part of a democratic system. The FCRA law has been under discussion for a long time, and if the government is amending it, the aim is to make the system more effective and transparent.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring that aid reaches the intended beneficiaries. Therefore, this amendment should be viewed not only from a political perspective but also in terms of better administration and effective regulation.
