New Delhi, July 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his best wishes to all devotees on the auspicious occasion of the Jagannath Rath Yatra. He expressed hope that the blessings of Lord Jagannath remain with everyone, infusing new energy into the lives of all citizens through His divine grace. Modi emphasized that this Rath Yatra is a unique expression of India’s centuries-old spiritual and cultural heritage.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Warm wishes to everyone on the sacred occasion of the Rath Yatra. This event is a remarkable representation of India’s rich spiritual and cultural legacy. The traditions associated with the Rath Yatra have inspired generations in India and around the world. These traditions symbolize humility, collective participation, and selfless service.”
He prayed for Lord Jagannath to bless everyone with good health, happiness, and prosperity, and to strengthen the spirit of unity within society.
In another post, Modi stated, “On the holy occasion of Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra, I wish that His blessings always remain with us. May His divine grace energize the lives of all citizens.”
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi also shared a piece titled ‘Sanskriti Subhashitam’. He wrote, “Devadeva Jagannath Surasuranamaskrit. Punyashlokavyayananta Paramatmannamo’stu te.”
The ‘Sanskriti Subhashitam’ mentions, “Lord Jagannath, the God of all gods and the master of the universe, is revered by all beings. His glory is pure and auspicious. He is the indestructible, infinite Supreme Being residing in the hearts of all creatures. We bow repeatedly to such Lord Jagannath.”
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also congratulated all devotees on the commencement of the Jagannath Rath Yatra, wishing them well through a post on ‘X’. He wrote, “May the blessings of Lord Jagannath bring happiness, peace, prosperity, and positive energy into your lives. Jai Jagannath.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah posted, “Heartfelt wishes to all citizens on the Jagannath Rath Yatra. The world-famous Rath Yatra symbolizes unwavering faith, devotion, and belief. This sacred journey reflects India’s rich cultural heritage and unwavering devotion to God. I wish for the happiness, prosperity, and welfare of all from Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra.”
