New Delhi, June 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit proverb on the social media platform ‘X’ on Friday. He stated, “Qualities like knowledge, wisdom, and foresight are the key foundations for success in life. A person enriched with these virtues triumphs even in the toughest challenges.”
He also shared a Sanskrit verse: “शास्त्रे प्रतिष्ठा सहजश्च बोधः प्रागल्भ्यमभ्यस्तगुणा च वाणी. कालानुरोधः प्रतिभानवत्त्वमेते गुणाः कामदुघाः क्रियासु॥”
The Hindi translation of this verse highlights that authentic knowledge of a subject, natural wisdom, fearless self-confidence, refined eloquence through practice, foresight that recognizes the demands of time, and continuous innovation are six qualities that serve as a ‘Kamadhenu’ for human endeavors, fulfilling every aspiration.
On June 18, PM Modi shared another saying, stating, “Wealth follows truthfulness, fame follows altruism, knowledge follows practice, and intelligence follows action.”
The Hindi interpretation emphasizes that wealth adheres to truth, fame follows selflessness, knowledge is rooted in practice, and intelligence is aligned with action.
On June 17, he shared a thought reflecting on the importance of respect and acceptance, saying, “Warm respect and acceptance provide a sense of pride and satisfaction. This not only boosts self-confidence but also infuses new energy and enthusiasm.”
He shared the Sanskrit verse: “त्वत्सम्भावितमात्मानं बहु मन्यामहे वयम्. प्रायः प्रत्ययमाधत्ते स्वगुणेषूत्तमादरः.”
The Hindi meaning conveys that when a person is respectfully acknowledged, they feel immensely honored and blessed, as it is true that the respect given by great individuals firmly awakens self-confidence regarding one’s own qualities.
