PM Modi Claims TMC Government Cannot Halt Change in West Bengal

Kolkata, March 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large rally at the historic Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. During his speech, he launched a verbal attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, asserting that a wave of change is sweeping through the state, which the Mamata government cannot stop.

PM Modi stated that no matter how hard the current government tries, it will not be able to halt this wave of transformation. He emphasized that the blessings of Mahishasur Mardini, along with the legacies of great figures like Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Rabindranath Tagore, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Khudiram Bose, and Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, will guide the BJP in building a new Bengal.

He criticized the TMC, saying that the Congress, followed by the Communists, and now the TMC, have come and gone, filling their pockets while development in Bengal has stagnated. The state has fallen behind in infrastructure, industries have shut down, and businesses have come to a standstill. Under the TMC government, jobs are being openly sold. It is time to change this situation and ensure that the youth of Bengal find opportunities and employment within the state.

PM Modi remarked that Bengal once propelled the entire nation forward and was a leader in trade and industry. However, today, the youth struggle to obtain degrees and find jobs, often migrating to other states in search of work. He accused the TMC of obstructing progress, stating that they neither work themselves nor allow others to do so unless they receive their cut. This is why the TMC government hinders the implementation of central schemes.

He further announced the launch of the PM Surya Ghar scheme, which aims to provide free electricity to citizens. The central BJP government allocates between 75,000 to 80,000 rupees for each beneficiary, ensuring their electricity bills are zero. However, the Bengal government is not allowing this scheme to be implemented. He also criticized the TMC for not rolling out the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides free medical treatment up to 5 lakh rupees to millions across the country. He urged the people to demand their rights to these benefits, which the TMC government has denied them.
