New Delhi, February 21: Pankaj Chaudhary, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Minister of State for Finance, has strongly condemned the protests by Youth Congress workers during the ‘India AI Impact Summit‘ held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
He described the protests not as political dissent but as a calculated attempt to tarnish India’s reputation on an international platform. Chaudhary stated that while the global community appreciates India’s technological advancements and innovative capabilities under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, disrupting such significant events is irresponsible behavior.
He alleged that the protests were premeditated, aimed at damaging the country’s image internationally. According to him, obstructing national events reflects the negative politics of the Congress party.
Chaudhary emphasized that the ‘India AI Impact Summit‘ symbolizes India’s technological prowess and global leadership, featuring representatives from over 100 countries, heads of state, technology experts, industry leaders, and numerous researchers and startup entrepreneurs. He accused Congress of historically questioning national achievements and creating a negative atmosphere during crucial moments.
He pointed out that from military actions to international events, the opposition has repeatedly raised doubts about the country’s institutions and accomplishments. Chaudhary noted that India is successfully hosting global events like the G-20, playing an influential role on the world stage. This progress is making some political parties uncomfortable. He asserted that the BJP strongly condemns any efforts that harm the nation’s reputation.
Chaudhary also called on Congress to publicly apologize for this incident and to act responsibly as the opposition on matters of national interest. He reiterated that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the central government is committed to realizing the vision of a ‘developed India’ and is continuously working towards strengthening technological development, innovation, and global partnerships.
