Panchang for January 31: Magh Masa Trayodashi Tithi and Auspicious Timings

New Delhi: According to the ancient Hindu tradition, it is important to consider the Panchang elements—tithi, day, nakshatra, yoga, and karan—before beginning any auspicious work. On January 31, the Shukla Paksha Trayodashi tithi of Magh month will prevail until 8:25 AM.

After that, Chaturdashi tithi will begin and continue until 5:52 AM on February 1. The day is Saturday, which is regarded as highly favourable for worshipping Lord Shani, Lord Shiva, and Lord Hanuman, the devoted follower of Lord Rama. Reciting Hanuman Chalisa, reading Sundarkand, or performing rituals dedicated to Hanuman and Shani on Saturday is believed to fulfil wishes. Devotion to Shani and Shiva on this day also brings positive results.

Inauspicious Timings

Rahu Kaal will be observed from 9:52 AM to 11:14 AM, during which no auspicious activities should be undertaken. Yamaganda Kaal is from 1:56 PM to 3:17 PM.

Special Worship on Saturday

Since it is Saturday, worship of Lord Hanuman, Lord Shani, and Lord Shiva is especially beneficial. Offering water to the rising sun at sunrise and lighting a lamp during the evening Godhuli Muhurat helps maintain positive energy at home.

Devotees may offer mustard oil, black sesame seeds, blue flowers, and jaggery to Lord Shani. For Lord Shiva, pouring water mixed with sesame and jaggery on the Shiva Lingam is recommended. Lord Rama’s devotees should offer gram and jaggery. These rituals are believed to remove ailments and attract divine blessings.
