Owaisi Questions Government on Chinas Activities Near Arunachal Pradesh Border

New Delhi, August 17: AIMIM leader and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has launched a sharp critique against the central government regarding China’s activities near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh. He has demanded clarity from the Narendra Modi administration about the actual situation at the border and urged for comprehensive information to be shared with the nation.

In a post on the social media platform X, Owaisi expressed his concerns about the government’s ongoing silence, prompting him to reiterate his questions about the situation at the Arunachal Pradesh-China border. He asked whether the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has recently prevented Indian Army patrol teams from accessing areas where they previously conducted regular patrols.

Owaisi also raised questions about whether the PLA has destroyed any temporary structures established by the Indian Army patrol teams in the region. Additionally, he inquired if China has set up tents in areas previously visited by Indian patrol teams, which fall within Indian territory.

This is not the first time Owaisi has sought answers from the central government regarding the border situation in Arunachal Pradesh. He emphasized that the government must clarify what is truly happening at the border, stating that the information provided so far has been inadequate and unclear.

In a subsequent post, Owaisi remarked, “While all this is happening at the border, we are inviting Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit New Delhi next month. Is this our policy of dealing with Chinese soldiers who are setting up tents in our territory and obstructing our patrols? Or have we accepted all the conditions that Beijing has laid out to ‘normalize’ bilateral relations?”

Owaisi’s questions come at a time when political debates have intensified regarding Chinese activities along the border adjacent to Arunachal Pradesh. He has called for transparency from the government and for the nation to be clearly informed about the border situation. His inquiries have once again brought the issues of alleged Chinese activities in Indian territory and border patrols to the forefront of political discussions.
