
New Delhi, August 17: The special teams from Krishna Nagar and Mansarovar Park police stations have apprehended two notorious thieves in separate cases. Both suspects were found in possession of stolen items.
In a case involving the theft of gold jewelry and cash, the Krishna Nagar police station arrested one suspect. The accused has a history of involvement in three previous theft and burglary cases. An FIR was filed on August 11 based on a complaint from Anil Kumar, a resident of Krishna Nagar. Kumar reported that unknown individuals entered his home during the day and stole gold and silver jewelry along with ₹20,000 in cash. Given the seriousness of the crime, the Krishna Nagar police initiated an immediate investigation.
The investigation team visited the crime scene and conducted a thorough examination. Statements from the complainant and relevant witnesses were recorded, and all available evidence was collected. Surveillance footage from various locations was analyzed to track the suspect’s movements and identify him. As a result of continuous field investigations and coordinated efforts, 45-year-old Anish Ahmed from Ghaziabad was identified and arrested. The police recovered a pair of gold earrings, a gold mangalsutra, three pairs of silver anklets, a silver payal, and ₹5,000 from his possession. During interrogation, the suspect revealed his involvement in another theft case. Further investigation led to the recovery of a motorcycle allegedly used in the crime.
Similarly, the special team from Mansarovar Park police station arrested another notorious thief. On August 13, police received information regarding a burglary at a complainant’s home. Upon receiving the report, an FIR was promptly filed, and a special team was formed. The team visited the crime scene and conducted an extensive investigation.
While reviewing CCTV footage, clear images of the suspect were obtained. The team identified the accused as Jatin, also known as Zhai or Bhau, a resident of Shahdara. As the team was preparing to apprehend him, a reliable informant reported that the wanted suspect was seen near the parking area of Shahdara railway station. Acting quickly on this information, the police team arrived at the location and successfully arrested the suspect. From his possession, a stolen mobile phone and ₹1,000 were recovered. During further questioning, the suspect admitted to having another stolen mobile phone and a gold mangalsutra at his home. The police then took him to his residence, where they recovered an additional stolen mobile phone and the mangalsutra.
