Over 42,000 Join Waiting List for PM Modis Vadodara Event as Seats Fill in Just One Hour

Vadodara, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming rally in Vadodara has generated significant excitement, with all available seats booked within just one hour of free registration opening on BookMyShow. Over 42,000 individuals have since joined the waiting list, highlighting the public’s keen interest in the event scheduled for Tuesday.

This registration initiative, managed by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), marks the first time a private digital platform has been used for managing public participation in such a major event. Following the rapid filling of seats, registration was closed, but the waiting list continues to grow.

The event will utilize a fully digital entry and venue management system. Registered participants will receive an e-ticket through their BookMyShow accounts, which includes a secure live QR code for entry verification. The entire process, from registration and verification to venue access and seat allocation, is being digitally managed to ensure quick verification and smooth crowd movement.

On September 8, Prime Minister Modi will be in Gujarat and Maharashtra, where he plans to lay the foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹35,000 crores in Vadodara. A highlight of the event will be the dedication of three sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), spanning 326 kilometers and costing over ₹20,700 crores. This development will enhance freight connectivity, reduce logistics costs, and alleviate pressure on Mumbai’s rail network.

During the event, Modi will also flag off freight train services from New Sanand (North), New Makarpura, New Umbergaon, and New JNPT, and inaugurate a new train service between Vadodara and Tanda Road. The program will include several major projects from the railways, highways, and state government, amounting to thousands of crores.

After the Vadodara event, the Prime Minister will head to Mumbai to inaugurate the Global Fintech Fest 2026.
