Ayodhya, June 26: The ongoing controversy surrounding alleged irregularities related to donations at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple has sparked significant reactions from religious leaders. Various saints and spiritual figures have expressed their concerns and are demanding a swift and impartial investigation into the matter.
Varun Das Maharaj stated that this incident is deeply hurtful to all devotees of Lord Ram. Given the seriousness of the situation, it was imperative to file an FIR immediately. Initially, discussions about an investigation were underway, but complaints were not being registered. Ultimately, an FIR was filed by an official associated with the trust, naming eight individuals under various sections of the law. There is now hope that the investigation will proceed quickly and bring all facts to light for resolution.
He emphasized that Lord Shri Ram symbolizes the path of truth, and any irregularity or wrongdoing associated with His name cannot be tolerated. Donations made by devotees are not mere material offerings; they represent faith and emotions. Therefore, if there are any suspicions of misuse at any level, a complete disclosure is necessary.
Aniruddh Dev Das commented that this issue has been under discussion for some time, with many dismissing it as mere rumors. However, the filing of the FIR has made it clear that the seriousness of the matter cannot be overlooked. Ensuring the security and transparency of funds related to donations is crucial, as it concerns the faith of millions of devotees.
He added that if the investigation confirms any wrongdoing or theft, strict action must be taken against the culprits. Such incidents not only tarnish the image of institutions but also hurt the sentiments of the entire Sanatan community. Therefore, no guilty party should be spared.
Narendraacharya Maharaj praised the questions raised by the Vishva Hindu Parishad, calling it a commendable step. He expressed gratitude to the Uttar Pradesh government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for forming a team to investigate. He also noted that questions remain regarding the roles of some prominent individuals, and the full truth is yet to be uncovered.
He alleged that initial actions focused only on lower-level individuals, while it is essential to reach the actual perpetrators. Until the entire network is investigated, such incidents cannot be completely prevented.
Meanwhile, Mahant Dr. Deveshacharya Maharaj lamented that it is unfortunate that saints and devotees in Ayodhya had to repeatedly demand an FIR, but action was delayed initially. The FIR was filed only after pressure from organizations like the Vishva Hindu Parishad. However, he acknowledged that while it was late, it was still a necessary step.
He stated that merely taking action against lower-level workers will not suffice; identifying the mastermind behind this entire affair is crucial. This could be a large network that requires serious investigation. The Prime Minister and Chief Minister will ensure a fair inquiry, and justice will be served to the guilty. Until the complete truth is revealed, doubts will linger in the minds of devotees.
