New Delhi, May 13: The controversy surrounding the NEET-UG 2026 exam paper leak has taken a political turn. Opposition leaders are raising serious concerns about the central government and the examination system.
Samajwadi Party MP R.K. Chaudhary criticized the BJP government, claiming that the lives of countless youth across the country are being ruined. He emphasized that the government, particularly the health department and the NEET examination team, should have exercised greater vigilance.
Punjab Minister Harpal Singh Cheema also targeted the BJP, stating that paper leak incidents frequently occur in states governed by the party. He alleged that these cases are later handed over to the CBI and gradually suppressed. Cheema expressed concern that the NEET exam situation is following a similar pattern, as it is now being referred to the CBI. He called this a betrayal of millions of students’ futures, noting that these young individuals were meant to shape the country’s future.
K. Kavitha, president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, remarked that this incident has completely shattered the trust of the youth. She suggested that the examination system should be made fully transparent and that new technologies should be implemented. Additionally, she insisted that strict action must be taken against those responsible for the paper leak to deter future occurrences.
Responding to Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments on Sanatan Dharma, Kavitha stated that those who lose elections often make such statements to attract attention. She asserted that faith is a personal matter and should remain private.
