Mumbai, March 29: The OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite is set to launch soon, alongside the OnePlus Nord CE6, marking the successor to the Nord CE4 Lite from 2024. This move indicates that OnePlus is refocusing on competitively priced entry-level devices in the Indian market.
The timing is noteworthy. As major tech companies invest heavily in AI infrastructure, key components are becoming more expensive. This trend typically leads to price increases, cost reductions, or a combination of both. Therefore, it is crucial to observe OnePlus’s strategy with the budget-friendly CE6 Lite and its pricing.
According to an exclusive report from Smartprix, the Nord CE6 Lite features a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This represents a downgrade from the Nord CE4 Lite, which boasted an AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 2,100 nits.
Internally, the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset. This should efficiently handle everyday tasks such as browsing, streaming, and light gaming, which is likely the primary focus for this segment.
The camera setup appears straightforward, featuring a 50MP main sensor paired with a secondary lens on the back to maintain the dual-camera design, along with a 16MP front camera.
One notable aspect of the phone is its large 7,000mAh battery. The predecessor from 2024 included a 5,110mAh cell with 80W fast charging. It is hoped that the Nord CE6 Lite will support similar fast charging for quick power-ups.
However, the report suggests a potential cost-cutting measure: the phone may not include a charger in the box. This could disappoint users on a tight budget, particularly in the Indian market, where this practice from Chinese smartphone manufacturers has not yet become standard.
Regarding pricing, the report indicates that the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage could be priced at “under ₹23,000,” which is quite competitive for 2026 given the specifications outlined.
