Bhopal, May 11: Nupur Kumarawat from Madhya Pradesh has clinched the top position in the women’s 50-meter rifle prone event at the 24th Kumar Surendra Singh (KSS) Memorial Shooting Championship. Meanwhile, Akshada Aishwarya achieved a remarkable double victory.

During the championship held at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, Nupur delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 624.3 to secure first place. Priya from the Army Marksmanship Unit followed closely in second place with a score of 623.9, while Bhakti Khambhar from Maharashtra took third with 622.2.

Anjum Moudgil from Punjab finished fourth with a score of 621.7, and Lajjkumari Tilakpuri Goswami from Gujarat secured fifth place with 620.0. Vidarsha K. Vinod from Kerala ranked sixth with a score of 619.2, and Pallavi Suthar from Gujarat came in seventh with 618.9. Additionally, Ayushi Poddar from the Railways made it to the top eight with a score of 618.3.

In the junior women’s 50-meter rifle prone event, Tamil Nadu’s MA Akshada Aishwarya won gold with an impressive score of 618.2. Nimrat Kaur Barar from Punjab earned silver with 617.7, while Pratha Rathore from Madhya Pradesh claimed bronze with 617.6.

Yugeshwari Bais from Madhya Pradesh finished fourth with 616.6, and Pranjali from Punjab took fifth with 616.3. Khushi Jadeja from Rajasthan also scored 616.3, placing sixth, while NCC’s Bhumi Sanjay Mahajan scored 615.3 for seventh. Geet from Chandigarh rounded out the top eight with a score of 615.2.

Achieving a double victory, MA Akshada Aishwarya also topped the 50-meter rifle prone youth women’s event with a score of 618.2. Nimrat Kaur Barar again secured second place with 617.7, and Pratha Rathore from Madhya Pradesh finished third with 617.6.
