Lucknow, June 27: Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad addressed various issues, emphasizing the ongoing investigation into the Ram Temple fund case. He stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made it clear that the truth will prevail. Nishad expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for initiating action, asserting that no guilty party will be spared. He mentioned that further actions will be based on the evidence that comes to light.
Rejecting allegations from the Samajwadi Party and Congress, Nishad insisted that trust in investigative agencies is essential in a democratic system. He questioned how FIRs could be filed without evidence, urging either the government to become an investigative agency or to trust the existing ones.
When asked about Arvind Kejriwal facing opposition from saints in Ayodhya, Nishad targeted opposition parties. He accused Congress, SP, BSP, and others of opposing the Ram Temple for years and now attempting to politicize the issue. He noted their past resistance during the temple’s construction.
In response to former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s announcement of a Shaheed Diwas rally on July 21, Nishad remarked that in a democracy, the final decision rests with the public. He emphasized that the people have already made their choice and that opposition parties should reflect on their current standing.
Welcoming the decision to inscribe the names of six Indian soldiers who fell in ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the National War Memorial’s ‘Tyag Chakra,’ Nishad praised Prime Minister Modi. He stated that the nation comes first and that soldiers who sacrifice for the country’s security deserve recognition, noting that such efforts were less visible in previous administrations.
Regarding the demand for implementing a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in West Bengal, Nishad stated that decisions benefiting the public should be welcomed. He remarked that Bengal was once considered a model for national development, but political issues have hindered its progress. He viewed any steps toward development and reform as positive.
Reflecting on the 170th martyrdom anniversary of Lochan Nishad, Samadhan Nishad, and 167 other revolutionaries, Nishad highlighted India’s glorious history and the significant contributions of nationalists to the country’s independence. He stressed the importance of remembering this historical sacrifice and passing it on to future generations.
Responding to Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav’s frequent visits to Purvanchal, Nishad remarked that it is too late for him to connect with the public. He stated that a leader’s true destiny is determined by the voters, and constant engagement with the public is crucial, especially as elections approach.
On Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments marking two years as Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Nishad launched a sharp critique of Congress. He asserted that the public had trusted Congress for a long time, but the party failed to live up to that trust.
