Patna, March 5: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Arun Bharti remarked that while Kumar’s move signifies the end of one era, it also heralds the beginning of another. He extended warm wishes from LJP (Ram Vilas) for Kumar’s new journey.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Kumar informed the people of Bihar about his readiness to transition from state leadership to the Rajya Sabha. He submitted his nomination papers in the presence of senior NDA leaders.
The opposition has raised concerns regarding Kumar’s nomination, alleging that despite his expressed desire to join the Rajya Sabha, the announcement was made under pressure from the BJP. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav claimed that if he had been with Kumar, the Chief Minister would not be facing this situation today. He accused the BJP of hijacking Kumar, suggesting that JD(U) is on the verge of collapse.
In response to Yadav’s statements, Arun Bharti advised him to reflect on his comments and the frustration behind them. He noted that Yadav seems overwhelmed by despair, making statements that reflect his disillusionment. Bharti emphasized that Kumar’s intention to join the Rajya Sabha has been accepted by all NDA allies, who have pledged their support for his future endeavors. He commended Kumar for steering Bihar away from lawlessness and expressed confidence that his experience and dedication to public service will bring new direction and strength to the upper house of Parliament.
