Patna, March 30: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has resigned from the Legislative Council following his election to the Rajya Sabha. After his resignation, JDU state president Umesh Kushwaha stated that the guidance from the Chief Minister will continue to benefit both the party and the people of Bihar.
In a conversation in Patna, Kushwaha explained that the constitutional provision requires any individual to resign if they cannot be a member of two houses simultaneously for more than 14 days. Nitish Kumar has resigned in accordance with this rule.
