Nitin Naveen Seeks Blessings for Sonar Bengal at Dakshineswar Kali Temple

Kolkata, March 25: Nitin Naveen, the National President of the BJP, visited the historic Dakshineswar Kali Temple during his two-day trip to West Bengal. He offered prayers and wished for the welfare of Bengal and the entire nation.

Speaking to the media after his visit during the Chaitra Navratri festival, he expressed, “Today, I had the privilege to seek blessings in the presence of Maa Kali. May she bless us all.” He mentioned that he prayed for the creation of ‘Sonar Bengal’ and a ‘developed Bengal.’

Nitin Naveen voiced concerns over the current state of West Bengal, a region known for its rich cultural heritage, which is now undergoing significant changes. He noted that Bengal’s culture has historically united the country, but today, there are elements that threaten this cultural fabric.

He criticized the policies of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s government, labeling them as appeasement politics. He alleged that there is inequality regarding religious practices in the state.

“The public is allowed to offer prayers for Namaz openly in Bengal, but we need permission from the High Court to set up a pandal for Maa’s worship. This is a significant misfortune,” he stated.

Naveen expressed hope that with Maa Kali’s blessings, positive changes will occur in the state, reinforcing Bengal’s cultural identity. He reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to building ‘Sonar Bangla’ and a ‘developed West Bengal.’

It is noteworthy that voting for all 294 assembly seats in the state will occur in two phases. The first phase is scheduled for April 23, covering 152 seats, while the second phase will take place on April 29 for 142 seats. The election results will be announced on May 4.
