Nishant Kumar: The Most Capable Candidate for Bihars Chief Minister, Says Anant Singh

Patna, March 31: Political speculation has intensified regarding Bihar’s next Chief Minister following Nitish Kumar’s resignation from the Legislative Council. In this context, JDU MLA Anant Singh has made a significant statement about potential successors to Nitish Kumar.

Speaking to the media in Patna on Tuesday, Anant Singh identified Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, as the most suitable candidate from JDU to become the next Chief Minister of Bihar. He emphasized that Nishant is well-educated and capable, possessing all the necessary qualities to lead Bihar. Anant Singh asserted that if the Chief Minister’s position remains with JDU, Nishant Kumar should be the natural choice.

He also acknowledged the possibility that the next government in Bihar could be led by the BJP. In such a scenario, Anant Singh named Samrat Chaudhary as the most suitable candidate for the Chief Minister position. He stated that if the Chief Minister comes from the BJP, Samrat Chaudhary would be the best option.

Praising Nitish Kumar’s tenure as Chief Minister, the JDU MLA highlighted his significant contribution to shaping modern Bihar. He noted that today’s Bihar is a result of Nitish Kumar’s leadership, with development seen across various sectors and considerable improvements in connectivity. Anant Singh added that people from different political ideologies wish for Nitish Kumar to remain active in Bihar’s politics, even as he prepares to move to the Rajya Sabha.

In a jab at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Anant Singh questioned the political strength of the RJD. He claimed that despite making grand promises during elections, the RJD has barely managed to maintain its current position. He suggested that had they lost even one seat in the Assembly, they would not have retained the status of the Leader of the Opposition.

It is noteworthy that Anant Singh recently met with Nitish Kumar. Following their meeting, he stated that the Chief Minister informed him that his decision to move to the Rajya Sabha is in the best interest of Bihar. Anant Singh expressed confidence that future industrial development would create significant job opportunities in the state.

Additionally, Anant Singh has recently been granted bail by the Patna High Court in connection with the Dularchand Yadav murder case.
