Patna, March 9: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, officially joined the Janata Dal (United) at the party office in Patna on Sunday. Central Minister Giriraj Singh hailed Nishant’s entry as the beginning of a new era.
He expressed that Nishant’s arrival brings joy to both Bihar and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). “This marks a new beginning. The NDA will work alongside Nishant,” he stated.
Giriraj Singh further emphasized that Nitish Kumar’s tenure has been golden, contrasting it with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s era, which he described as synonymous with looting, crime, extortion, and lawlessness. He believes that with Nishant on board, the NDA’s next phase in Bihar will be significantly improved.
Targeting the Trinamool Congress government, Giriraj Singh criticized Mamata Banerjee for disrespecting a female president. He called it extremely shameful, stating that it has hurt the sentiments of all who value democracy and the tribal community. He asserted that the insult to such a high constitutional position is not just an affront to one individual but to the dignity of India’s Constitution and democracy. The insensitivity and administrative failures of the Trinamool government have become glaringly evident, and the people of Bengal are watching, ready to respond when the time comes.
