Major U.S. Airstrike on Irans Kharg Island, Trump Claims Military Bases Destroyed

Washington, March 14: The United States has launched a significant bombing attack on Iran’s crucial Kharg Island. President Donald Trump confirmed these strikes, asserting that U.S. forces have completely destroyed military bases located at the country’s main oil export center, while intentionally avoiding damage to energy infrastructure.

In a post on the social media platform ‘Truth Social,’ Trump stated, “At my direction, U.S. Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in Middle Eastern history. Every military installation on Kharg Island has been utterly obliterated. Our weapons are among the most powerful and advanced in the world, but out of humanity, I decided not to destroy the oil infrastructure on the island.”

Kharg Island is vital for Iran, serving as one of its most important locations for crude oil exports. A significant portion of Iran’s oil production is sent through facilities located on this island in the Persian Gulf.

Trump further warned that if Iran disrupts maritime traffic in the region, this decision could be reconsidered. He wrote, “If Iran or anyone else obstructs the safe and unobstructed passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider my decision.”

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most critical waterways, through which a large share of global oil trade passes. It also connects the Persian Gulf to international markets.

In his warning, Trump stated that Iran’s ability to defend itself against U.S. attacks is severely limited. He added in his ‘Truth’ post, “During and even after my first term, I have positioned our military as the deadliest, most powerful, and most effective force in the world. Iran has no capability to defend against any of our actions. They can do nothing about it.”

The U.S. President emphasized, “Iran will never have nuclear weapons, nor will it possess the capability to threaten the U.S., the Middle East, or the entire world. It would be wise for Iran’s military and all associated with this regime to lay down their arms and save whatever remains of their country. In any case, not much is left.”

It is noteworthy that Iran has suffered significant losses from attacks initiated by Israel and the U.S. since February 28. At least 2,000 people have died in the conflict so far, with claims of over 1,200 fatalities in Iran alone. Additionally, more than 600 people have died in Lebanon during the U.S. and Israeli strikes, while Iraqi health officials report at least 30 deaths in their country due to the conflict.
