Trump Claims Major Success in Military Operations Against Iran

Washington, March 14: President Donald Trump stated on Friday that the ongoing military operations against Iran are progressing “very well.” He emphasized that U.S. forces have achieved significant successes amid escalating conflicts in the Middle East.

During a brief interaction with reporters at Joint Base Andrews, Trump asserted that the military campaign has effectively damaged Iran’s capabilities. He remarked, “Iran’s situation is very good. There have been major attacks today, resulting in significant victories, as you may have heard at the military level. I believe everything is under control.”

The President indicated that the campaign aims to eliminate the nuclear threat posed by Iran. He stated, “We needed to eradicate the nuclear threat present in the Middle East and across the globe, and we will accomplish that.”

Trump also suggested that the Iranian military has been considerably weakened during the conflict. “For me, it is very clear that we are in a dominant position like never before,” he added.

When asked about the possibility of unconditional surrender, he responded, “Their navy is finished, their air force is finished, and most of their army is gone. Their major threat has been eliminated in every way.”

He claimed that Iran’s air defense and radar systems have been largely incapacitated. “They have no radar, and in most cases, they lack anti-aircraft weapons. Almost everything has been destroyed, and you will see that.”

Regarding the duration of the conflict, Trump declined to provide a specific timeline but noted that the operation is progressing much faster than expected. “I can’t tell you the time. I have an estimate in mind, but what good would it do to share it? It will last as long as necessary. However, I can say that we are well ahead of schedule.”

Trump also indicated that the conflict could impact global energy markets but believes prices will drop once the situation stabilizes. “I think as soon as this is all over, gasoline prices will fall rapidly. There will be a significant decrease in the prices of everything related to energy.”

He confirmed that he has discussed this issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping. “Yes, I have spoken with him. We are discussing this matter along with several other topics,” he said.

Trump acknowledged that there have been discussions with Israeli leadership, although he hinted that the strategic goals of the U.S. and Israel may differ somewhat, referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “I think their perspective might be a bit different since they are a different country,” he noted.

Nevertheless, he praised the U.S. military forces, stating, “They will tell you that there has never been a power like the United States in the world.”

These statements come at a time of heightened tensions in the Gulf region, particularly concerning the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial maritime route through which nearly one-fifth of the world’s oil passes.
