Flight from Abu Dhabi Brings Indians to Bengaluru Amid Middle East Tensions

Bengaluru, March 14: A flight from Abu Dhabi carrying Indian nationals landed safely at Kempegowda International Airport today. The Etihad Airways flight EY-262 arrived amidst ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Passengers reported that the situation in the United Arab Emirates remains relatively stable compared to Kuwait and Bahrain. However, they expressed concerns about the potential impact on Indian workers if the conflict continues.

Rising tensions between Iran and the US-Israel have caused unease among Indians living in the region. One passenger refuted claims circulating in Indian media and on social media about attacks on major sites in Dubai. “Reports of an attack on the Burj Khalifa and damaged walls are false. Do not believe these rumors. When an attack occurs, debris falls, and smoke rises, which is what happens. Only a few people sustained minor injuries, and everything else is normal. Business operations are running smoothly, and offices are functioning as usual,” the passenger stated.

Another traveler advised against believing fake news on social media, emphasizing the importance of trusting government information. “There is no need to panic. Everything is under control. I think we should follow reliable websites and news sources instead of social media rumors. Pay attention to the information released by the governments of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which provide daily updates. There is nothing to worry about; everything is normal,” they said.

Passenger Tindu from Abu Dhabi mentioned, “There are issues in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but the government is also providing support. We work in the health department, and everything is running smoothly. Personally, the situation is fine. We are currently residing in Los Angeles. I am unaware of the current situation in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, but everything was fine when we left.”
