NIA Unveils Shocking Details of Delhi Blast, Reveals Terrorists True Intentions

New Delhi, May 14: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made startling revelations regarding the car bomb explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi on November 10, 2025. Investigations indicate that Umar Un Nabi and other associates were linked to the terrorist organization ‘Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind’ (AGUH). Their objective was not merely to execute a blast in Delhi but to establish a large-scale jihadist network across India and challenge the democratic framework. They referred to this operation as ‘Operation Heavenly Hind.’

On Thursday, the NIA filed a 7,500-page charge sheet against ten accused in a special court at Patiala House in Delhi. The main accused, Umar Un Nabi, died in the explosion, while nine others have been named in the charge sheet.

The agency claims that the explosive used in the Delhi blast was Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP). The accused prepared TATP using readily available chemicals. According to the charge sheet, all ten accused, including the deceased Umar Un Nabi, were associated with the AGUH, which is a branch of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). In June 2018, the Ministry of Home Affairs designated AQIS and all its forms as a terrorist organization.

In 2022, a clandestine meeting took place in Srinagar. After a failed attempt to escape to Afghanistan via Turkey, the accused reorganized the AGUH, renaming it ‘AGUH-Interim.’ Under the guise of this new organization, they initiated ‘Operation Heavenly Hind,’ aiming to overthrow the democratically elected government of India and impose Sharia law.

The NIA’s investigation revealed that under ‘Operation Heavenly Hind,’ the accused recruited new members and vigorously promoted AGUH’s violent jihadist ideology. They amassed a significant stockpile of weapons and ammunition while also preparing large quantities of explosives using easily accessible chemicals. The agency discovered that the accused had created various types of IEDs and conducted tests on them.

Some of the accused were professionals, including doctors, who were influenced by radical ideologies to join this module. They were found in possession of illegal weapons, including AK-47s, Krinkov rifles, and homemade pistols. The investigation uncovered plans for explosive attacks using drones and rockets.

The NIA stated that the accused had experimented with attaching IEDs to rockets and drones, targeting security establishments in Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of India. During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused purchased laboratory equipment from various offline and online sources, including specialized tools like MMO anodes, electric circuits, and switches.

Raids were conducted across several states, including Delhi, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir, to gather evidence. The NIA identified the deceased accused, Umar Un Nabi, through DNA and fingerprinting. Investigations were also carried out at the blast site near the Red Fort, as well as at Al-Falah University in Faridabad and other locations indicated by the accused in Jammu & Kashmir.

The accused had plans to expand their activities to other parts of the country, which were thwarted by the dismantling of this terrorist module. To date, a total of 11 individuals have been arrested in this case. The NIA team is also working to locate the absconding accused whose roles emerged during the investigation.
