Alwar, August 31: A tragic incident occurred in the Buttoli village of Alwar district, Rajasthan, on Monday evening. A 10-year-old boy named Bhanu fell into an open borewell while running to collect a fallen kite.
The child is trapped approximately 50 to 55 feet deep. Fortunately, initial reports indicate that he is safe, as rescuers can hear his voice from within the borewell. Two JCB machines have been brought to the site to begin excavation around the area.
According to reports, Bhanu was chasing a kite that had been cut down and was running towards a field where an old borewell had been abandoned for some time. A stone was placed over the borewell, but it had shifted, creating a hazardous situation. Due to the lack of activity in the field, no one was aware of the borewell’s presence, leading to the unfortunate accident.
Upon receiving news of the incident, panic ensued in the village. Ramgarh MLA Sukhwant Singh arrived at the scene to assess the situation. He inquired about the rescue operation and instructed officials to arrange the necessary resources for safely retrieving the child.
Police and administrative officials also reached the site. Machines and rescue equipment have been dispatched to assist in the operation.
MLA Sukhwant Singh has directed the district administration and relevant department officials to commence the rescue immediately. He has also informed party leadership about the incident. Reports indicate that the district collector is on his way to the scene.
As news of the child’s fall spread, a large crowd of villagers gathered at the location. The child’s family is understandably distraught. The administration’s top priority is to rescue the child without any harm. Officials present are closely monitoring the situation, and the rescue team has intensified their efforts.
