Pune, June 24: The tragic death of Ketan Agarwal has prompted heartfelt reactions from his friends and neighbors. Shashi Shishupal Agarwal, a resident of Ketan’s neighborhood in Lodha, expressed deep sorrow and anger during a conversation on Wednesday.
She shared that it was incredibly difficult for her to believe the news of Ketan’s death, and her entire family is currently in shock.
“I have known Ketan since he was just one year old when he came to our locality. Although we are not blood relatives, we share a familial bond. My husband and Ketan’s mother, Pushpa Didi, are like siblings. Ketan was a sweet child who always helped others,” Shashi recalled.
Reflecting on Ketan’s helpful nature, Shashi recounted an incident where she and Ketan’s mother were lost while returning home. At midnight, Ketan promptly came to their aid after they called him for directions.
When asked about Ketan’s fiancée, Siya, who is accused in his death, Shashi expressed her shock. “We were aware of their engagement, and being family, we thought they were a good match. Ketan was very happy about his upcoming marriage and had many dreams for his future.”
Shashi was taken aback by the allegations against Siya, stating, “It is extremely painful and horrifying. How could someone do this to a child who always dreamed of love? It’s hard to fathom that a girl could take such a step.”
She has called for strict action against the culprits, urging the country’s law enforcement to ensure that no one else in India faces such a horrific situation. “There should be severe consequences for deceitful individuals so that no girl or boy dares to take such a dreadful step again,” she emphasized. Shashi hopes that Ketan’s family will soon find a way to cope with this unbearable grief.
Meanwhile, a security guard from Shri Parshv Nagar Society mentioned that Ketan lived there but is no longer around. “He was a good boy,” he added.
