Congress MP Randeep Surjewala Criticizes Paper Leak Laws Amid Ongoing Scandals

New Delhi, July 28: Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala has expressed skepticism regarding the effectiveness of new laws aimed at curbing paper leaks. He stated that despite the introduction of these laws, incidents of paper leaks continue unabated.

During a media interaction on Tuesday, Surjewala highlighted that paper leak incidents are occurring almost daily across the country. He pointed to recent cases in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Punjab, accusing the paper leak mafia of jeopardizing students’ futures. “Can any law or committee stop this when the mafia operates openly?” he questioned.

Surjewala asserted, “The reality is that those in power are protecting the mafia. Whether in Gujarat, Punjab, or Maharashtra, children’s futures are being auctioned off. This is not just about creating laws or committees; it’s about severing ties with the powerful elites.”

He emphasized that the youth stand with Rahul Gandhi and will ensure government accountability. “The youth of the nation knows that the protectors of the paper leak mafia are sitting on the throne of power,” he added.

Chandrashekhar, MP from Nagina, stated that while they want to discuss the bill against paper leaks, they also demand accountability for the violence inflicted on students on July 20. He urged the government to withdraw the cases filed against the students.

He remarked, “Just as the government had to retreat before, it will have to do so again.”

Congress MP Tanuj Punia stressed the need to assess the government’s seriousness regarding this bill and its practical implementation. He called for an apology from the Union Home Minister for the brutality faced by students and demanded strict action against the responsible officials. “The youth of the nation deserve justice,” he concluded.
