Mumbai, June 24: Exclusive visuals have surfaced from the home of Chetan Baboolal Chaudhary, the accused in the high-profile Ketan Agarwal murder case from Pune. According to reports, police arrested Chetan from this residence on Monday night. Local sources indicate that Chetan lives there with his four sisters and parents.
When reporters attempted to speak with the accused’s family, they declined to comment. Currently, police are interrogating the accused and investigating various aspects of the case.
Notably, the court has remanded Chetan Chaudhary and Sia Goyal, another arrested suspect in Ketan Agarwal’s death, to seven days of police custody. The defense and the victim’s family have presented conflicting claims regarding the case. The defense argues that it was an accident, while the victim’s family insists it was a premeditated murder.
The incident occurred on June 18, when Ketan Agarwal, a 24-year-old businessman, reportedly fell to his death while trekking at Lohagad Fort in Lonavala, Maharashtra. His fiancée, Sia Goyal, who got engaged in February, reported the incident to the police, claiming Ketan slipped and fell.
Initially deemed an accident, the case took a turn following police investigations, which included CCTV footage, call detail records, and technical analysis. Conversations with the victim’s relatives and friends revealed facts that raised suspicions of murder.
Further investigations uncovered that Sia Goyal had a friend named Chetan Chaudhary, with whom she had been acquainted for several years. They allegedly conspired to murder Ketan Agarwal, executing their plan at Lohagad Fort.
Police reported that they pushed Ketan, leading to his fatal fall. Based on this evidence, both Sia and Chetan were taken into custody, and during intense questioning, they confessed to their crime. The police are continuing their investigation.
